This Week at the LAB
Notion, Hack Night, AI, and Challah Baking. Wait what? Challah baking?
Coming in HOT at 4pm on a Tuesday. The data Beehiiv is telling me says this is the worst time to send a newsletter, but some days that’s “just the way the cookie crumbles.“
You know what, the first person to reply here with the correct movie reference on that quote will get a free box of Zak the Baker cookies. This is just a baking-themed edition today I guess.
But anyways, yes, yes you read that right. One of the events this week is a challah baking class that is going to weave together your core business “recipe” with a hands-on class of making challah.
The event, The Recipe for Growth; A Hands-On Baking Workshop to Grow Your Business, is hosted by my great friend and business systems wizard Ernesto Mandowsky. You’ll learn how to turn your business into an easy, repeatable “recipe” that will allow you to scale.
I went on a founder retreat thing to Asheville with my LLC forum this weekend (LLC is the local forum org that hosts the CEO Breakfasts at the LAB), so I had the opportunity to try some of Ernesto’s homemade challah.
He mixed in some Tony's Chocolonely in one challah at the request of Bonum founder Daniel Bittner, and then did olives and rosemary thanks to Scott Grondin, founder of Adapt Gym’s request.
I gotta say… the challah was fantastic. 🥖
So what’s the point? The point is.. I encourage you to come out for this unique event on Thursday at the DOCK. I appreciate the creativity of the event and think we need more fun things like this that weave together business, tech, and cool experiences.
The event ticketed and space is limited because there’s going to be flour flying everywhere so be sure to grab your tickets if you plan to attend.
If you have a creative idea for an event like this that is both business and fun, reply to this email and let’s do it.
Actually, on that note - If you’re interested in joining our LAB Member AI Sommelier Wine Tasting at Lagniappe next week, reply to this email and we’ll get you on the list. Rebecca said we can have 5 more guests on the reservation so first 5 to respond will be admitted. 🤖 🍷
Anyways… we have more high-impact events this week, so we hope to see you around the LAB or DOCK this week.

HACK NIGHT
Oh wait it’s a double header! Hack Nights at the DOCK tonight

We have a double header tonight across the innovation campus. If Notion and business systems are not your thing, and instead you like hacking, building tech, and hanging out with other people that like that, then Hack Night is for you.
Join us for Hack Nights at the DOCK starting at 6:30pm and running until about 2am. This is a free event but application approval needed. You have to actually be building something to join, no freeloaders like I mentioned last week.
AI
Miami AI Hub Generative Gatherings this Wednesday
